Meet Us
My name is Sherry Bushnell. I am a Midwife in Bonner's Ferry, Idaho 208-267-1491 sherry@blessingcatcher.com
Why have I been called to be a midwife? (Besides having an intense fascination with pregnancy and childbirth?)
I enjoy all the pre-natal appointments, because my favorite part about being a midwife is making new friends. Gentle, compassionate, competent, midwife care helps to create a special birth experience that will impact your feelings about being a mom, forever. My first love is "home birth" because this gives you, the childbearing woman, and your family, the most personal, safe, maternity care available. It also allows for a more mother-directed, gentle birth for your baby.
I have always loved children. To prove it, I am the mother of 12 children! I have had 1 hospital birth with a nurse midwife, 1 birth center birth, 7 home births with different midwives, and have adopted 3 children with special needs. Each experience was unique, complete with individual challenges and joys.
