My calling as a midwife...

     In giving birth to my children, I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment and empowerment. I thank the Lord that I was able to have great pregnancies (after the first 4 months of being very sick) naturally giving birth to all 9 of my children in a gentle, peaceful environment. 

    Assisting moms of all ages over the last 20 years, has led me to understand my desire to work with younger moms is especially rewarding for me.  I have seen the huge benefit and difference it makes when young moms feel supported, accepted and strengthened through their own birth experiences.

    Observation:  The single, biggest, obstacle or challenge for young moms is the lack of support, from government, parents, baby-daddies, or friends.  Teen moms are incredibly brave women, who have chosen life for their baby and deserve recognition and help, not shame.
